About David Jacobs
David Jacobs, founder of The Media Method A.V., brings decades of broadcast and production experience to every project.
David grew up in Montreal, Quebec, in a household filled with music and creativity. His father, Leon Jacobs Sr., was a respected jazz musician who performed with renowned artists including Oscar Peterson, Oliver Jones, the Sealy Family, and many of Montreal’s leading jazz musicians. This early exposure to music helped shape David’s creative sensibility and lifelong passion — and today, he remains a dedicated jazz aficionado.
David graduated from the Columbia Academy of Television, Broadcast and Recording Arts in 1991, the same year he began his professional career in video production. He launched a production studio with three partners and also began working at CBC in 1991, gaining valuable broadcast experience early in his career.
In 1993, David began working with CTV, further expanding his expertise in broadcast production and storytelling. That same year, he founded Anticipation Media Inc., which would go on to produce hundreds of programs and projects across corporate, broadcast, and organizational sectors.
Over the years, David has built a reputation for professionalism, creativity, and technical excellence. His broadcast background continues to influence the high production standards and collaborative approach that define The Media Method A.V. today.
